1957 was my father's most prolific year as a photographer, and I am presenting nearly 200 images from that time, divided into groups of 50. In this particular set, 1-50, we find a harmonious blend of family, friends, coworkers, and landscape photography.

Among the portraits of friends, we have Peppe Arena (image 27), a professor and writer; the couple Nando Frasca' and his fiancĂ©e (image 33); and the Campisi family (image 38). The collection also features images of contadini (farmers) in the fields (image 39) and in their living room, which, in this case, is the great outdoors (image 41). There's a poignant portrait of my nanny, Lisa, taken after she was immobilized by a stroke. Additionally, we see a group of notable figures exiting a building—our local movie house repurposed as a conference venue—accompanied by the Carabinieri, our local police, as they walk down the main street (image 49). Scattered throughout are several country landscape images.
