This website houses a collection of images photographed by Nicola Toscano between 1952 and 1961. Included are family snapshots, portraits of ordinary people, locally known figures, landscapes, and events of the time, all of which provide a sense of life in the Southern Italian region of Calabria during that decade. The collection and accompanying website are curated by Antonio Toscano, son of the photographer; you may find further information about the curator and his personal work at AntonioToscano.art.
