Selection - 1956
1956 likely marked the beginning of my father's journey as an amateur photographer. This collection showcases a diverse mix of subjects, including family moments, landscapes, and portraits of everyday life. Among the images, there's a striking photograph of an unknown man with a gloved right hand—possibly concealing a wooden prosthesis—proudly posing with an Alfa Romeo sports car, a rare sight in that era. The collection also features a tender portrait of a mother and child, a photograph of a family friend who was a priest, workers going about their day, and a now-rare view of the Carafa Castle captured from a distance.
